Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1Welcome to Johannesburg

Arrive in Johannesburg and transfer to your hotel. Settle in, relax, and meet your group and tour leader at the welcome briefing. The evening is free to explore the neighbourhood or rest after your journey.

Day 2Soweto Cultural Experience

Discover the powerful history of Soweto on a walking and bus tour. Visit the Apartheid Museum or Nelson Mandela's House to learn about South Africa's journey to freedom. Support local communities by visiting an informal settlement. End the day experiencing Johannesburg's vibrant nightlife.

Day 3The Panorama Route

Depart Johannesburg and drive the legendary Panorama Route, one of Africa's most scenic drives. Marvel at Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon on Earth, and stop at incredible viewpoints along the way. Arrive at your lodge in Graskop surrounded by mountains.

Day 4Kruger National Park

Travel into the iconic Kruger National Park, one of Africa's greatest game reserves. Drive through the park with eyes peeled for wildlife sightings. Settle into your camp inside the park, enjoy a traditional South African braai (BBQ) under the stars, and fall asleep to the sounds of the African bush.

Day 5Big Five Safari

The highlight of the trip — an open-vehicle game drive through Kruger National Park searching for the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. Expert guides share their knowledge of the ecosystem and help track wildlife. Return to camp for a traditional potjie dinner cooked over an open fire.

Day 6Eswatini & Sunset Game Drive

Cross the border into the Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) and travel to Hlane Royal National Park. This lesser-known gem is home to elephants, rhinos, and lions. Enjoy a sunset game drive as the African sky turns golden, then listen to traditional Swazi singing by park rangers around the campfire.

Day 7Local Community Visit

Re-enter South Africa and travel south towards Zululand. Spend the afternoon visiting a local crèche (preschool) to interact with the children and community. Learn about daily life in rural South Africa and the challenges and triumphs of local families. Relax at your lodge in the evening.

Day 8Zulu Village & Coastal Towns

Visit a traditional Zulu village to learn about ancestral customs, traditional medicine, and rural life. Then travel to the coast and settle into a beach lodge. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure and try a local favourite — Bunny Chow — for dinner.

Day 9Fly to Cape Town & Table Mountain

Take a short internal flight to Cape Town. In the afternoon, ascend Table Mountain by cable car (weather permitting) for breathtaking panoramic views over the city, coastline, and ocean. In the evening, stroll and dine at the iconic V&A Waterfront.

Day 10Discover Cape Town

Explore Cape Town on a guided walking tour through the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap and past historic landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, City Hall, Slave Lodge, and District Six Museum. In the late afternoon, enjoy sundowner cocktails with harbourside views.

Day 11Cape Peninsula Day Trip

A spectacular full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula. Take a boat cruise to see wild fur seals at Seal Island, drive along the clifftop Chapman's Peak road for incredible photo stops, and visit Boulders Beach to meet the famous African penguin colony. Celebrate the adventure at a farewell group dinner.
